Dorah's Cake House is a family owned and operated bakery that specializes in the creation of custom cakes, pastries, cookies, donuts, and traditional holiday treats. All of the baking is done on premise, guaranteeing the freshest products. We make all of our baked goods from scratch, using only the highest quality ingredients. We take pride in producing fresh, delicious tasting baked goods seven days a week.
At the bakery, we encourage our staff to use their creativity to produce new and unique treats for others to enjoy. We have a great passion for the art of baking, and take great pride in putting a smile on our customers faces with our baked goods. Story
Dorah's Cake House began in a small home kitchen in Kapeka, Buloba, filled with the warm scent of vanilla, butter and roasted cocoa. What started as cakes for family birthdays quickly became the go-to bake for weddings, introductions and corporate celebrations across Kampala.
Every tier we build is a small love letter — hand-piped, hand-finished and baked from scratch the same day it leaves our door. We keep our batches small on purpose, so nothing tastes rushed and every detail lands the way you imagined it.
Today Dorah leads a tiny team of bakers and decorators who treat your celebration like our own. Whether it's a two-tier birthday number or a seven-tier traditional wedding cake, we're honoured to bake it for you.
Baking has always been our passion, but this bakery is powered by family. From early-morning prep to late-night decorating for a Saturday wedding, our loved ones are behind every order — mixing, tasting, boxing and delivering with the same care we'd give our own celebrations.
